Indlozi Tours and Safari’s is the passion project of Hendrik Gerrit Jansen van Rensburg.
Affectionately known as Henroux.
When asked how he came to work in the wildlife industry he tells the story below.
“I finished school in 2005 and had no idea what to do at that moment.
My parents were missionaries in Mozambique, and I stayed with them from 2005 until 2012, exploring the beautiful country, from Maputo to Inhambane, right up until the corner where South Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe meet one another.
As a family, we did a lot of community development, in which we helped people with vegetable gardens, fed up to 30 widows and orphans, we also worked with a pre-school where we fed 30 children everyday.
My parents received many visitors from all over the world, I became a local Mozambique tour guide for all the people that came to visit.
I had a 4X4 permit to drive on the beaches and surrounding areas, I also took them deep sea fishing, spear fishing and diving.
In 2012 I started my training to become a nature guide in the Mpumalanga area, completing my course in November 2012. I am now registered with the National Department of Tourism in South Africa.”
